Notes (23/365)

~*~

I had an IEP meeting for Cam today. Unfortunately, neither my advocate nor Mike were able to make this meeting, so I was out there flapping.

And taking notes.

Lots of notes!

Thermostat (22/365)

~*~

My apartment had one of those old, circa 1960 dial thermostats with the mercury bubble thingy (yes, that is a technical term), and my heating bill in the winter was often impacted by forgetting to turn the heat off when I left for work or went to bed.

Two years ago, I purchased a programmable thermostat.

I installed it today.

Cookie Brownies (21/365)

~*~

I might have made these this morning ... before everyone got up.

It didn't make the house smell as good as it does when bacon is frying, but it sure was a close second!

Kitchen Window (20/365)

~*~

If you try to peek into my kitchen window in the winter? This is what you'll see.

The builders of my apartment complex clearly opted out of insulated glass.

Frosted glass is a decorating statement, right??

Snacks (19/365)

~*~

The one thing I can always count on at work.

Snacks.

Cereal bar for breakfast. Breakfast on the Go! for late morning snack. Popcorn for the afternoon snack.

Boundaries (18/365)

~*~

"Husband's" words in the blue - mine in white. Maybe not the most appropriate P365 post ever, but it was a moment of clarity for me.

See? These conversations are all too frequent. Each time I go to the house to go through/pack up what remains there, a conversation like this occurs.

Always initiated by him.

Always something of a sexual nature.

Always something that makes me feel uncomfortable (and for those of you who know me, it takes a LOT to make me uncomfortable).

We've been separated for over three years.

We've not had any sexual contact for two years.

We've both agreed that divorce will be filed.

It's time to set some boundaries, because he is clearly out of line.

Closet (17/365)

~*~

I spent today cleaning out and organizing Cam's closet.

I probably should have taken a before photo so that you'd understand why it took me FIVE hours and TWELVE trash bags to get it to look like this.

Although he was a little upset that I threw away his box (an old appliance box that once served as a hiding place for him), the fact that I found a long lost pair of shoes and his bath robe seem to have made up for it.
