There are very few things I miss about the house, but this is definitely the one "thing" I miss most - my Gizmo kitty! I had a brief visit with her over my lunch hour today. She came running when she saw me come in the front door. Notice her ears? Looks like maybe I caught her in mid ear twitch doesn't it? Nope! My Gizmo kitty has a bit of a birth defect. Her right ear is always pointed out to the side while her left ear acts like a normal kitty ear. She's the bestest kitty ever!

I had to stop by "the house" today to pick up some tools that I needed to install the curtain rod in the apartment. Every time I walk in to "the house" I experience an odd mixture of feeling like a visitor yet grieving for the dream never realized. I still want it to feel like home - like a place full of love for Cam and I - yet it is just "the house."
