Cam and I were back at the food bank today, continuing to do our part to give hope and respect to those in the community very much like ourselves. I'm including a link to vote for our food bank to receive a $50,000 grant to help offset the costs of a new sorting/distribution facility that they are breaking ground on next month. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

SUBJECT: Service

Cam and I volunteered at the food bank this morning. There was a group of about 20 of us from the church and in three hours, we sorted, labeled and re-boxed over 3 tons of food - enough to feed 315 families of 4 for an entire week.

In a proud mom moment, I learned that Cam was recommended for supervisory training at the food bank. His dedication, work ethic and loving heart were recognized by one of the food bank employees that we have been working with for the past 18 months. I don't know if Cam will decide this is something he wants to do, but the recognition was a wonderful moment for the both of us!

Today was the first time Cam and I have volunteered at the food bank since we became some of those people that the food bank helps. This cinder block wall is packed with the signatures and drawings of the thousands of people who have given the gift of their time to help people just like Cam and me.
